Found in northeastern Colombia as a medium sized epiphyte that blooms in the earlier fall on an erect, to 16" [40 cm] long, 5 to 9 flowered inflorescence carrying nodding flowers .

Synonyms Mormodes ocanae var. brachylobum Rchb.f. 1881
