Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 800 to 1800 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 5 to 8, hispidulous, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a congested, fascile, .1" [1 to 2 mm] long, simultaneously single, many flowered inflorescence arising at the apex of the ramicaul, and has inflated, infundibular, coarsly long-pubescent floral bracts.
This one may be M gorgon so use with caution!
