Common Name Single-leafed Neocogniauxia
Flower Size 3/4 to 2" [2 to 5 cm]
A small sized, Jamaican, single leafed epiphyte from the Blue mountains at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters with a creeping rhizome, from which arises a slender, erect stem carrying a single, apical, erect to arcuate, linear-elliptic or linear-oblong, obtuse leaf and occuring where it is cold, breezy and constantly moist, grow with good shade and it will bloom in the fall and winter on an erect to arching, to 8" [20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that arises from the apex of the stem and is longer than the leaves, if given bright airy well watered conditions in the cold house.
