Found in northwestern Madgascar in deciduous forests on calcareous rocks at elevations of sea level to 300 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing lithophyte with a sleafy stem carrying many, elliptic, leaves that blooms innthe late spring and early summer on an axillary, 1 to 3.2" [2.5 to 8 cm] long, 1 to 7 flowered inflorescence.
