Common Name The Large Tongued Nervilia
Flower Size .4 to 1.6" [1 to 4 cm]
Found in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Myanamar and Vietnam in humus of quercus forests in hot valleys at elevations of 600 to 1800 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a slender, glabrous stem enveloped by 2 distant clasping sheathsand carrying , orbicular-cordate, entire margins, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence with small, linear-lanceolate, acute floral bract
