Found in New Guinea, Northern Territories and Queensland Australia in open forests, woodlands and in leaf litter in rainforests qt elevations of sea level to 100 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a horizontal, heart shaped, dark green above, reddish beneath, irregular margined leaf held well above the ground that blooms in the mid spring through early summer on an erect, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence .
