Found in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Sudan and Zaire in loamy soil in gallery forests at elevations around 670 meters as a warm growing terrestrial that blooms in the later spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence
