Found in French Guiana, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in rain forests at elevations of 100 to 900 meters as a small sized, hot growing twig epiphyte with a long, pendant, racemose inflorescence

There are various possible determinations here, this species could also be N rhombilabia or N bungerothii, I need more references,
