Found in guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan provinces of China as well as India, Nepal, Myanamar, Thailand and Vietnam in forets or thickets on branches at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with short, often pendulous stems carrying subbasal, 4 to 5, subcylindric to compressed cylindric, more or less laterally compressed, equitant at base, often slightly curved, fleshy, base with white transparent scarious margin on one side, articualte, acuminate apically leaves that blooms in the later summer on a cylindric, wingless, pendulous, 4 to 6 " [10 to 15 cm] long, densely many flowered inflroescence with many, narrowly lanceolate, sterile bracts and has lanceolate, membraneous, irregularily dentate margin, long acuminate apically floral bracts.
