Common Name or Meaning The Long Bracted Oberonia - In China Chang Bao Yuan Wei Lan

Found in the Chinese Himalayas, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam at elevations around 1200 meters in dense forests on trees as a small sized warm growing epiphyte with a rather short stem carrying 5 to 6, subbasal, laterally compressed, linear to linear-lanceolate, slightly thickened, not articulate basally, acuminate apically leaves that blooms in the fall on a subcylindric, connate in the lower part of the leaf, appearing to rise from the leaf blade, wingless to nearly so, 2 to 2.8" [5 to 7 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with 1 to 2 sterile bracts and linear-lanceolate, exceeding the flowers floral bracts
