Common Name Prain's Oberonia [English Botanist in India 1800's]

Found in the Eastern Himalayas, Assam, Thailand, Malaysia and Java at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short, pendant stem carrying non-jointed, oblong-ovate, acute, compressed leaves that blooms in the spring on a verticilliate, terete, 4.2" [11 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, subentire to irregularly serrate, sparsely gland-dotted floral bracts.
