Found in tha Chinese Himalayas, Assam, Darjeeling, Sikkim, India and Sri Lankha in tropical valleys at lower elevations as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a fan of 3 to 4, ensiform-lanceolate, tapering to an acute apex, straight to weakly falcate, imbricate basally leavest that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect to decurved, 1.2 to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long, densely many flowered, terete, grooved inflorescence with oblong-lanceolate to elliptic, subacute, crenulate to entire floral bracts
