Common Name The Hairy Odontoglossum

Flower Size 1 1/5" [3 cm]

Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru in montane cloud forests at elevations of 1800 to 3100 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with ovate, flattened, ancipitous pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several, distichous sheaths with the uppermost being leaf-bearing and carrying a single, apical, narrowly lanceolate, acute apically leaf that narrows below into a conduplicate petiole-like base that blooms in the fall through spring ensitu on an erect, axillary, 8" [20 cm] long, few [3 to 5] flowered, racemose inflorescence
