Common Name The Many Star Odontoglossum
Flower Size 2" [5 cm]
Found in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in dense, upper, montane cloud forests at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial on steep embankments with ovate, flattened, ancipitous pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several distichous, imbricating sheaths with the uppermost being leaf-bearing and blooming in the winter and spring on an axillary, paniculate, to 6" [15 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb.
