Common Name The Blunt Cyrtochilum

Flower Size 3/4" [2 cm]

Found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia at elevations of 2500 to 3000 meters in very wet montane forests as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial on steep embankments with ovate, complanate pseudobulbs subtended by several basal leaf-bearing sheaths with 2 apical, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, conduplicate below into the short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer and fall with sterile and fertile flowers on the same elongate, 2' [60 cm] long, arcuate, compound paniculate, 10 to 14, rather shortly branched, each branch 6 to 8 flowered, many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb.
