Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Peru and Bolivia in upper elevation seasonally very wet, cloud forests at elevations around 2300 to 3000 meters as a small to just large sized, cold growing epiphyte with caespitose, ovoid, ancipitous, slightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 6 to 8 distichous, uppermoat foliaceous sheaths and carrying narrow, apically acute, conduplicate belo intothe base leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an axillary, provided with 4+, short, widely spaced, close, tubular sheaths, shortly racemose, to more than 14" [35 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered, racemose inflorescence with appressed, scale-like, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying stellate to having the tepals back bent on the flowers
