Common Name The Twisted Snail Oeonia

Found in the eastern coastal forests of Madagascar at elevations of sealevel to 1500 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an elongate stem carrying sparse, distant, oval-oblong or elliptical leaves that are somewhat attenuate to the sheath that blooms in the fall on a 12 to 14" [30 to 35 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence.
