Common Name Booth's Oncidium [English Garderner 1800's]

Flower Size 1 1/4" [3 cm]

Found in Venezuela in very humid, montane forests or cloudforests at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with strongly compressed, ellipsoid, glossy green pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2 apical, ligulate, suacute, subcoriaceous leaves that blooms in the fall on an arcuate to pendant, 6' [200 cm] long, many branched, many flowered inflorescence arising from the leaf sheaths of a mature pseudobulb and having intensely fragrant [honey] flowers.
