Found in Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul Brazil at elevations of 50 to 300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with elliptic pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a semi-erect, to 20" + [to 50 cm +] long, to 15 flowered inflorescence
