Found From Venezuela, Surinam, Northern Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia at elevations of 1100 to 2900 meters as a miniature to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with closely spaced, somewhat grooved, narrowly ovate, laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs partially enveloped by a few, basal, short, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 1 to 3 apical, lanceolate, acute, shortly conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms mostly in the summer on a basal, 30 to 47" [75 to 120 cm] long, paniculate, slender, erect to arching to drooping, many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying both lipless, sterile and normal flowers.
