An uncommon, medium sized, hot to cool growing, compact, Mexican and Guatemalan?, epiphytic species from dry forests at elevatons up to 2100 meters with ovoid to ovoid-ellipsoid, compressed, pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by 2 to 4, imbricate, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2, apical, oblong-ligulate to linear-lanceolate, subcoriaceous, suberect, narrowed basally, acute to obtuse leaves that blooms with an axillary, erect, 4'8" [1.4 meter] long, short branched, many flowered panicle with showy, fragrant flowers.
