Found in Costa Rica and Antioquia Colombia at elevations around 2200 meters as a mini-miniature szied, cool to cold growing epiphyte with elliptical to broadly ovate, strongly laterally compressed, ancipitous, shiney pseudobulbs enveloped partiually below by 1 to 2 opposite pairs of non-foliaceopus sheaths and carrying a single, apical, oblong-lanceolate ,obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the short conduplicate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect to arching to nodding, peduncle as long as the rachis, paniculate, very short branchingseveral to many flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3, scentless flowers to each branch in the lower half and racemose flowers above.
