A miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid found in France and Spain in grasslands, garrigue, open pine and oak woodlands at elevations up to 1100 meters that blooms in the spring on a terminal, 3 to 8" [7 to 20 cm] long, densely 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence. .
