Common Name The Porrect Otochilus - In China Er Chun Lan

Found in the western Himalayas, Chinese Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, eastern Himalayas Myanamar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam on trees or rocks in forests at elevations of 1000 to 2100 meters as a small sized, warm to cool groing epiphyte or lithophyte with many subcylindrical, arising from the apex of the last pseudobulb and appearing to be a pendulous or creeping stem and carrying 2 apical, narrowly elliptic to narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, petilolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, racemose, laxly several flowered inflorescence arising from between the apical leaves and carries fragrant flowers .
