Found in New Caledonia in rainforests at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with 1 to 3, lying flat to the ground, green, brown to purplish with a textured coppery tint, elliptic, acute leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on an erect, 8 to 18" [20 to 45 cm] long, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence
