Found in Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador at sea level to 800 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a slender in the lower part, enveloped by leaf sheath bases, upper part of the stem carrying several, elliptic, abruptly acuminate, basally tapering into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, short, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, racemose, successively single, few flowered inflorescence .
