Common Name The Short Haired Paphiopedilum [refers to the hairs found in the pouch]

Flower Size to 3" [to 7.5 cm]

A single flowered, pubescent, erect, to about 10" [25 cm] long, terminal inflorescence with an ovate bract covering 1/4 of the ovary that is a summer blooming, cool to hot growing terrestrial orchid with narrowly oblong or elliptic-oblong, obtuse tesselated dark and pale green leaves that is found in the Philippines at elevations of 300 to 1830 meters.
