Common Name Day's Paphiopedilum [English Orchid Enthusiast]
Flower Size 4 to 5" [10 to 12.5 cm]
Found only in northeastern Borneo in leaf litter under bamboo and at the base of trees on steep ridges and on serpentine rock outcroppings at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters as a hot growing terrestrial where it blooms in the spring on a 12" [30 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
