Common Name Fowlie's Paphiopedilum [American Orchid Enthusiast current]

Found in the Philippines at elevations above 500 meters as a small sized, semi-terrestrial in pockets of leafmold in limestone rocks with blue gray leaves tesselated with faint patterns that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, hairy, 10" [25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence as a cool to hot growing species. Grow this species potted in a rock and treefern with cold to cool temperatures, moderate light and year round waterings.
