Common Name The Myanmar Paphiopedilum

Flower Size 2.56 to 3.68" [6.3 to 9.2 cm] wide

Found in southern Myanmar without locality in primary broadleafed evergreen forests and scrub on very steep o and cliff of limestone rocks at elevations of 200 to 400 meters as a hot growing terrestrial with a compressed stem carrying 4 to 6, short, smooth, linear to oblong, rounded and minutely retuse apically, variable tessellations on the upper surface, densely purple beneath, distinctly keeled on the midrib beneath, basal margin ciliate leaves that blooms in the late winter and earler spring on an erect, pendent, peduncle .92 to 1.48" [2.3 to 3.7 cm] long, white to purplish pilose, single flowered inflorescence carryng the flower with its face pointed at the ground.
