Common Name The Purple Paphiopedilum

Flower Size 1 1/2" [4.2 cm]

Found in northern Sumatra at elevations of 400 to 500 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, multifloral Paph that has 4 to 7, narrowly oblong-elliptic, vareigated leaves and blooms on a 13 1/4" [33 cm long], few flowered, brown, pubescent inflorescence with the successively single flowers arising in the summer.
