Common Name Urban's Paphiopedilum [Mrs. Jacinta Urban Tecson - Philippine Orchid Nurserywoman]

This small sized, warm growing terrestrial orchid with mottled green leaves is found in the Philippines at elevations of 400 to 800 meters in humus pockets between rocks on the forest floor in deep shade with 4 to 5, narrowly or oblong-elliptic, tesselated dark and light green above, basal margins ciliate leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, terminal, 10" [25 cm] long single flowered inflorescence with ovate, green veined maroon, pubescent floral bract.
