Flower Size 3 1/2" [8 to 9cm]
Found on the island of Sumatra in ravines on sheer, almost vertical faces at elevations around 1900 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with oblong-ligulate, green mottled darker, flushed purple and ciliate near the base leaves, that blooms in the spring on a 40" [100 cm] long, successively opening, with 2 to 3 open at a time, many flowered inflorescence with elliptic-oblong, ciliate floral bracts.
