Common Name de Nevi's Paraphalaenopsis [Dutch Orchid Collector in Dutch Indies 18-1900's]

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in W Borneo on riverside trees in lowland primary forests in bright light at elevations around 300 meters as a large sized [in width], hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 3 to 6, fleshy, elongate, cylindric, canaliculate leaves and blooms in the spring on successive, axillary, 6.2" [15.5 cm] long, to 5 [13] flowered inflorescence with triangular, adpressed floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers.
