Found in the western Himalayas, Bangladesh, the eastern Himalayas and Nepal at elevations up to 1500 meters as a medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with a stout stem carrying smaller and narrower above, imbricating, suberect leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a terminal, erect, elongating to 8" [20 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence
