Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1200 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, strict to substrict, terete, glabrous stem carrying 2 near the middle of the stem, patent, broadly ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an elongate, secund, to 10" [25 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous bracts.
