Common Name or Meaning The Mountain Loving Peristylus

Found in the Andaman Islands, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaysia, Moluccas, the Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatra and New Guinea in open montane grasslands with seasonal fores or on roadsides that are often cut back at elevations of 1000 to 1650 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with about 3 to 5, lanceolate-ligulate, acuminate, glabrous, basally arranged leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a lax, erect, green, 10 to 15 flowered, secund inflorescence.
