Common Name The Water Spider Carrying Peristylus

Found in the Chinese Himalayas, Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam at elevations of 1000 to 1500 as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a very slender stem carrying scattered towards teh middle, 3 to 5, membraneous, smaller above, linear to oblong-lanceolate leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, to 8" [20 cm] long, very slender, laxly many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, as long as the ovary floral bracts.
