Common Name The Spotted Phalaenopsis

Found in Borneo and Sulawesi in lowland to mixed hill forests at elevations of sealevel to 1000 meters on limestone hills at the base of mossy trees on moist, bare rocks as a small to medium sized warm to cool growing, miniature epiphyte or lithophyte with a very shoret, completely enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying, 2 to 3, fleshy, oblong-ligulate, acute to bilobed apically, gradually narrwoing below in to the base leaves that blooms with a lateral, arched, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, racemose, few flowered inflorescence with small floral bracts.
