Common Name The Mysore Phalaenopsis

Found in southern India 750 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 1 to 3, oblong-eeliptic, conduplicate at the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a terete, short, .4 to 4" [1 to 8 cm] long, purplish violet, few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts
