Common Name Reichenbach's Phalaenopsis [German Botanist and Ochid Specialist 1800's]

Found only on Mindano Island of the Philippines as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short to 2" [5 cm], robust stem enveloped completely bu imbricate, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying suberct to arcuate, obovate-oblanceolate to elliptic-obovate, rounded apically, gradually tapering to the claspig base leaves that blooms on a suberect to arching, to 18" [to 45 cm] long, loosely racemose sometimes occasionally branched, few to several flowered inflorescence with short, triangularcucculate, acute floral bracts and carrying waxy, fragrant [green apple] flowers
