Found in Santander department of Colombia as a small to medium sized, warm to cool, caespitose growing terrestrial with 6 basal distichous, linear, coriaceous, keeled below, acuminate, revolute margined leaves that blooms in the spring on a erect, terminal, 4.8 to 10.8" [12 to 27 cm] long, successively single, 3 flowered inflorescence with an acute, green floral bract and a pubescent ovary
