Found in India, Sri Lanka, Assam and the eastern Himalayas at elevations around 2000 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a stout, more or less pseudobulbous stem carrying 1 to 3, linear-oblong to oblanceolate, obtuse to retuse, disitichous, narrowing below inot the sessile base leaves that blooms in the late summer on an erect to arching, glabrous, lateral, 4 to 6.8" [10 to 17 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with distant, lanceolate, acute bracts and ovate-oblong to obovate-oblong, acuminate, single veinedc floral bracts.
