Found in Myanamr and NW Yunnan Province China on moss-covered boulders and cliffs in shady side valleys at elevations of 2200 to 3100 meters as a mat building, small sized, cold growing terrestrial or lithophyte with narrow-ovoid or conical, dark green psuedobulb that can be flushed basally by dark purple and carries a single, apical elliptic-lanceolate leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, to 2 3/4" [7cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that arises before the leaves of the next growth.
