Found in Amazonas state of Brazil in lowland tropical forests as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, subrepent epiphyte with a branched rhizome giving rise to cylindrical, erect, short ramicauls enveloped by 1, gray, close fitting, membraneous, acute to obtuse apically, striate sheath and carrying an erect, coriaceous, obloancolate to elliptical, acute, rarely minutely tridenticulate, pale green, glabrous, attenuate to obtuse below into the base leaf that blooms in the late summer, fall and early winter on a horizontal, arising from below the apex of the ramicaul, .16" [4 mm] long, successively single, to 4 flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, glabrous, acute to acuminate, shorter than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts.
