Common Name The Covered Column Pleurothallis

Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests at elevations of 300 to 1300 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome, giving rise to a short ramicaul enveloped basally by 2 to 3 close, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic leaf that gradually narrows below into an indistinct petiole and blooms in the fall and early winter on a slender, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul.
CAUTION I am not happy with the lip shape, color of the flowers and the petals which are not spatulate.
