Found in Sao Paulo state of Brazil in primary forests on mossy tree trunks in shade and moderate humidity and good air circulation as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 basal sheaths and carrying a single, apical, fleshy, oval, pointed, dark green, unkeeled leaf that blooms in the later spring on a hair-like, .8" [2 cm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence.
