Found in Vera Cruz and Oaxaca Mexico without elevational data as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, shiny green above, purple spotted beneath, broadly elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and again in the fall on a lax, distichous, flexible, flexuous, to 6" [to 15 cm] long including the 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long peduncle, successively single, several flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul with an oblique flroal bract.
