Found in Holguin Cuba humid and shady places in montane rainforests, gallery forests and charrascales from 400 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with very short ramicauls enveloped by 2 scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate, acute to shortly apiculate, green, glabrous, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a terminal, pendent to repent, glabrous, filiform,.8" [2 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with an annulus.
