Found in Sao Paulo Brazil in old forests with high humidity, partial shade and elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls carrying a single apical, light to dark green, purple blotched, flshy deeply keeled, gradually narrowing below intothe petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6" [15 cm] long, 9 to 10, alternate flowered inflorescence
